Autonomous power supply with higher EMC requirements
Burian, Jan ; Deneš, Roman (referee) ; Hejátková, Edita (advisor)
This paper deals with design of mechanical and electrical components of autonomous power supply and its testing. It consists of selecting of the materials, draft of shapes and calculations of feed-throughs for the source container to ensure the required electromagnetic characteristics. It also includes the selection of electronic components, comparison of DC-DC converters and filter design with focus on the highest electromagnetic immunity and the lowest electromagnetic emissions.
Analysis and assessment of risks in the construction of the shielding structures of medical irradiators.
Henzelová, Iveta ; Vymazal, Tomáš (referee) ; Hobst, Leonard (advisor)
The thesis focuses on the analysis and evaluation of the potential risks in the design and implementation of shielding structures against the effects of ionizing radiation. The rocedure of calculation and design optimization, according to the current wording of the Atomic Act and related regulations, is mentioned only marginally. According to DIN EN 31010: 2011 Risk Management - Risk Assessment Technique risk assessment were made by risk analysis. risk analysis. Risk management identified these methods - Analysis of the Causes and Consequences (Ishikawa diagram), Analysis Failure Mode and Effects (FMEA) and the Pareto diagram. These methods are implemented to identify and evaluate the associated risks. Based on the identification and assessment of these risks, appropriate measures are then proposed to reduce their impact.
The effects of ionizing radiation on semiconductor devices properties
Yermalayeva, Darya ; Šteffan, Pavel (referee) ; Musil, Vladislav (advisor)
This master’s thesis deals with the problematics of influence of ionizing radiation on semiconductor devices and their properties. The aim of the thesis is to analyze the different types of radiation that can occur in the areas of application of these components. In the second part, the degradation processes are explored, with emphasis on the influence caused by the radiation dose. Also, the displacement damage and SEE effects are described, but just slightly, because they are not part of this work. The third part describes the device design process and harmful effects, that have to be considered during the design phase. In the forth and the fifth parts of this work were done modeling of radiation effects (influence of dose rate, Single-Event Upset and Total Ionizing Dose) in PSpice program and was carried out the possibility of designing a simple dosimeter with silicon diode. In conclusion, the results of the thesis are summarized and evaluated.
Simulation of geographical orientation influence on summer solar gains in highly glazed office rooms
Soudek, Ondřej ; Knotek, Stanislav (referee) ; Jaroš, Michal (advisor)
The thesis deals with simulation of solar gains in highly glazed administration building of Microsoft company on Vyskocilova Street in Prague. Effects of the geographical orientation and types of shading are compared on the base of the current simulation. For a more precise description of the effect of geographical orientation is simulation of solar gains in fictive office room with constant dimension together with applying different types of shielding. All the simulations are performed in TRSNYS 16.1 software.
Description of linear feed systems of machine tools
Kocanda, Petr ; Pavlík, Jan (referee) ; Blecha, Petr (advisor)
The Work contains a detailed description of parts forming the linear displacement system of machine tools. The Work is also focusing on several producers who deal with this issue. High attention is paid to the merits, qualities and methods on how the making of single machine parts is solved; this is described both from the design and process viewpoints.
Effect of a nuclear power plant in terms of radiatin burden
Vániš, Jiří ; Procházka, Zdeněk (referee) ; Belatka, Martin (advisor)
This text deals with ionizing radiation affecting nuclear power plant personnel and surrounding population. Irradiation limits of radiological industry personnel are also mentioned along with ways of protecting them and checks on absorbed ionizing radiation dose. In conclusion, a nuclear power plant, as a source of ionizing radiation, and its effects on contamination of water sources and gas vents are evaluated. The next part be engaged problematical of storage nuclear waste from the time, when is removed the nuclear waste from nuclear reactor, trough permanent storage.
Radiation detection, shielding and identification in public safety.
Kumičák, Ivan ; Šťastný, Ondřej (referee) ; Varmuža, Jan (advisor)
A problem of ionizing radiation is considered in this thesis. The work consists of few chapters, where types of ionizing radiation and its interaction with material environment, also separate measures, which characterize both a source of ionizing radiation and influence of ionizing radiation on a life form are describes. Kinds of detectors of ionizing radiation and principles of their running are taken up as well.
